This thing is an engineering flex, no lie. Folded, it’s thinner than most “normal” flagships (even the S25 Ultra). The hinge feels sturdy, and the crease? Shrunk down so much it’s almost not there. That octagonal camera dome looks kinda futuristic, too. And the colors—Dawn Gold, Ivory White—are straight-up classy. Oh, and it’ll survive a dust storm and a splash fight.
The main 7.95-inch display is pure eye candy. High res, 120Hz, and bright enough to use outside in the sun. The cover screen? Just as good, so you don’t have to compromise when it’s folded. Side by side with a Galaxy Z Fold 7, the Magic V5’s bezels are basically non-existent, and yeah, stylus support is there if you’re the artsy type.
Here’s where it gets spicy. The 50MP main shooter brings the heat, even in crappy lighting—almost on Huawei Pura 80 Ultra’s level (yeah, I said it). The telephoto can zoom up to 100x, though honestly, after 10x things get fuzzy. Ultrawide’s clean, doesn’t warp your landscape shots. Dual selfie cams on both screens, plus 3D face unlock. It might not beat Huawei’s best, but it definitely outguns Samsung’s foldables for night shots.

MagicOS 9.0.1 on Android 15 feels smooth and actually intuitive. Triple Split Screen is great for multitasking (think juggling docs, web, and chat all at once). Some neat AI tricks, too—like deepfake detection. The only bummer is that update promise: four years for OS, five for security. Not bad, but Samsung’s just doing it better.

Performance is flagship-level, no surprise with Snapdragon 8 Elite inside. Sure, the price is up there, and the camera bump’s kind of obnoxious, plus you can’t just pop in a microSD card.
